TETAM, Telecommunications and Informatics Technologies Research Center has been established by 41 founding members as a unit of Boğaziçi University Rectorate on September 6, 2013 with the goals,
• to create a national platform for inter-disciplinary research and applications in all areas related to telecommunications and informatics technologies,
• to build national and international collaboration including the industry in all areas related to telecommunications and informatics technologies,
• to organize research and education activities in all areas related to telecommunications and informatics technologies.
TETAM Bylaws (Official Gazette of Turkish Republic, Number 28757, September 6, 2013) can be seen here (in Turkish). TETAM as a new organizational structure is the natural follower of the TAM Project, which has been financially supported by State Planning Organization/Ministery of Development continously since 2007. TAM Project aimed to to increase the number of PhD level researchers in all areas of telecommunications and informatics. TAM Project work in this direction is expected to continue within TETAM research center.
